So, San Francisco has been keeping me pretty busy. Making friends, going to see music, bikes, beach, tiki bar, dancing, and fine dining. I'm like a new woman- all this going out and not laying in the bed reading Apartment Therapy. There's no denying that I like this city a lot. I will write a more informative paragraph when I am less exhausted.

So I went on Critical Mass yesterday. It was pretty much insane.

The best was when this middle aged Chinese woman stepped out into the stream of bikes and tried to embrace this stealth young biker who was dressed as a skeleton. She wanted "to jump his bones."

Did Halloween with Mark's friend Justin and a bunch of his friends. It was lots of fun. Hung out, ate lots of pizza, went to a couple of parties. The best was when one of the antique dolls managed to flag down a private bus with leather limo seats and a dancing pole, which with the flash of her bloomers was ours for the time it took for us to empty it of its Bud Lite.

The young man sitting next to us on the bus chewing tobacco and spitting it into a plastic beer cup was "stoked to be surrounded by all these drunk chicks."

Very Good News

Tracy's cochlear implant got turned on today and already it is working better than she had dared to hope. She told me she heard it rain for the first time in years.

Thursday night Emily and Jacob came to town! I got to keep them the whole weekend. It was really nice to see them.

We walked around some, but mostly just ate yummy food. Indian! Italian! Mexican! More Mexican and mostly Mexican!

Jacob really liked the leaves that look like flowers.
